What is the daughter's effect on other heirs?: Excludes maternal-half siblings (full exclusion as descendant heir), reduces husband's share from one-half to one-fourth, reduces wife's from one-fourth to one-eighth, reduces mother's from one-third to one-sixth.
What is the granddaughter's inheritance right?: If the inheriting father died before the grandfather, she inherits in his place (in some cases via mandatory will). With biological daughters, she may take one-sixth (completing two-thirds).
Can a daughter be disinherited?: No — disinheriting a daughter is illegal and contrary to Sharia. Her Sharia share is guaranteed, and disinheritance attempts via will are void. She has the right to file a claim.
